When it comes to deciding which platforms to opt for it can be difficult to know what's best when there's so many to choose from. You're probably wondering whether to dip your toe in all of them or focus on one channel at a time?

Choose one or two platforms to focus on
Every car dealership has different audiences based on the products they sell so you need to pick a platform where your potential buyers are. For many automotive dealerships, Facebook is a great option, Facebook have geared up their platform towards helping dealers make the most out of social media so it's a great place to start.
If your dealership is selling used cars Facebook's Marketplace is a great place to promote what deals you have on offer. For new cars, you can't advertise them through the Marketplace available so you will need to consider other options. This is where organic and paid material comes into play, and that's a whole other ball game!
Test and post
In order to understand the content that your followers and customers like you need to test, test and test! Social media is constantly changing so it's important to try new content - if it works repeat it, if it doesn't assess why. There are plenty of insights available on all social media platforms so it's important to look at how many people are engaging with your content. From there you can readjust your social media strategy going forwards.
